Cardiology
I, Kamran Hosseinzadeh, received my high school diploma from Alborz College in Tehran in 1362. I completed my general medical training at Shahid Beheshti University (formerly Melli University) and received the corresponding degree in 1370. I completed my general surgery training at the same university and received the degree in 1374. I completed my cardiac surgery training at Iran University of Medical Sciences (Shahid Rajaei Hospital) and obtained the corresponding degree in 1380. I then began working as an independent cardiac surgeon. In Tehran, I am part of the central team of cardiac surgeons at Moheb Mehr Hospital, where we established its cardiac surgery department approximately 8 years ago. We established the cardiac surgery department in Qom Province for the first time with my colleague, Dr. Bigdeli, who is currently working in Germany. We established cardiac surgery services in Alborz Province, in cooperation with the same colleague, at Imam Khomeini Hospital in Karaj more than 10 years ago. In Tehran, I serve as the head of the cardiac surgery department at two private hospitals, appointed by their boards of directors: Treata Hospital and Shariati Hospital. I am Dr. Kamran Hosseinzadeh, a cardiac surgery subspecialist. For more than 10 years, I have operated on patients under 55 years of age who have coronary artery disease using the Bentall operation with both mammary arteries, and I have gained good experience in this procedure. A large number of patients have undergone repair or replacement of the mitral, tricuspid, or aortic valves. I have preserved the papillary muscles during mitral valve replacement for the past 15 years. Many patients with aortic aneurysms have undergone surgery on the aortic root or related procedures. I have also operated on congenital conditions that develop in fetuses, such as small ASD and VSD or pulmonary venous anomalies, and I am gaining further experience in heart transplantation at two heart transplant centers. In addition, I work as a pediatric cardiac surgeon in Tehran and treat heart diseases in children.
