Dr. Saeed Kookali completed his general medical training at Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran in 1996. After completing his military service and compulsory service placement, he began his residency in orthopedics at Shahid Beheshti University and, in 2004, began working as an orthopedic specialist (bone and joint surgeon), initially on a K-coefficient basis in Izeh, Khuzestan, and subsequently continued working in the private and academic sectors in Gorgan. Since 2011, he has been a faculty member of Golestan University of Medical Sciences and responsible for training medical interns and externs. After obtaining a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery and sports injuries from Italy, he became head of the Orthopedics Department at 5 Azar Hospital in Gorgan in 2015, and in 2017 became head of the Orthopedics Department at Golestan University. Additional training courses: a 2-month course in artificial knee and hip joint surgery with Piero Volpi, Milan, Italy. A 2-month course in sports surgery, reconstruction, and knee arthroscopy with Enrico Arnaldi, Milan, Italy. A 4-month course in hip arthroscopy with Federico Della Rocca, Milan, Italy. A 6-month course in knee and hip surgery and arthroscopy with Guido Grappiolo, Milan, Italy. Fellowship: 2014–2015 fellowship in shoulder, elbow, and sports injuries with Alessandro Castagna, Milan, Italy (valid certificate approved by the Ministry of Health, website: irimc.org). Currently, in addition to training orthopedic residents at Golestan University, he has special collaborations with orthopedic colleagues and shoulder fellows at conferences and congresses. In the private sector, he also practices at Falsafi Hospital in Gorgan. Visiting days: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 onward.
